The CR-100 is considered one of the most difficult endurance events Texas has to offer. The marathon canoe race and adventure challenge down the scenic Colorado River will test one’s mental and physical strength. This year’s race will include opportunities for paddlers to compete in one of three classes; Competitive, Adventure – and for the first time a Youth class. Each class will offer divisions for men and women solo paddlers as well as mens, womens, and mixed tandem teams. The Competitive class will race 100 miles to Columbus. The Adventure class will race 100 kilometers (62 miles) to LaGrange, and the Youth class will race 25 miles to Smithville. The host, Lee Harle of Bastrop River Company, has operated a canoe and kayak livery service in downtown Bastrop since 2012.
