Bird Photography Hike – Day 2

Bird City Bastrop Texas is hosting 4 Bird Photography Hikes during the iNaturalist City Nature Challenge so breathe in the great outdoors, Friday, April 30 to Monday, May 3. Enjoy public guided bird walks accompanied by bird photographers, to encourage folks to take pictures of birds they see and post them to iNaturalist, whether they use phone photos or cameras. Walks will be from 8:30-10 a.m., limited to 20 people for social distancing.

Walk locations:

  • Friday, April 30: South Shore, Lake Bastrop
    led by Mike & Jan Goebel & Jim Jordan (meet at entrance station)
  • Saturday, May 1: Colorado River Refuge, east of Bastrop
    led by Melanie Pavlas & Jim Jordan (meet at Two Bridges Trailhead of the Colorado River Refuge at the turnout on Riverside Dr)
  • Sunday, May 2: Pecan Park, Bastrop
    led by David McGriffy, Susan Taylor & Paul Licce (meet at parking area on Hasler by Nuevo Mexico)
  • Monday, May 3: Bastrop State Park
    led by Woody & Patricia Raine & Priest Cantu (meet at parking area by old golf clubhouse)
