Welcome to the Elgin Hogeye Festival.

The “Sausage Capital of Texas” celebrates sausage and all things porcine in this annual, fun-filled event. This year’s event was October 26 to October 28! On Friday, October 27, from 6 to 10 pm, came downtown to dance to music by Sean Orr and the Texas Gold Band. As always, themes are “Warm Hearts and Hot Guts” and the “Royal Hog Coronation.” The famous Sowpremes performed with many other live bands and a variety of arts and crafts, kids activities, cow patty bingo, road hog car show, BBQ pork cook-off, the “pearls before swine” art show plus great food and live music. Free admission. Many attended associated events, including the Annual Pearls Before Swine Art Show and Gala Thursday, October 26.
