Be surprised at the wonderful floats and marchers during the Wicked Western Days parade in downtown Elgin Texas, as part of the Western Days celebration. With the “yellow brick road” theme, it’s sure to be an eye-catcher so find your place along the parade route early. There may even be flying monkeys!

If you want to join in the fun and parade down Main Street, just contact the chamber and gather your ideas. There’s no fee, but there sure is a lot of fun!

Western Days serves as Elgin’s annual homecoming celebration and is always held during the last week in June. Throughout the multiple-day affair, events are held including a fashion show, golf tournament (Elgin Chamber of Commerce), parade, carnival, live music, vendor marketplace, and sports tournaments, including volleyball, washers and horseshoes. The grand finale is held on Saturday where guests can peruse the wares of artisans and craft vendors at an outdoor marketplace while listening to live entertainment throughout the afternoon. The festival is packed full of fun activities for all ages making this a great family-fun event!
