Cedar Creek Park is Bastrop County’s first county park, sitting on 46 acres of Texas countryside, located near the intersection of FM 535 and Hwy 21. Dedicated in 2008, the land was conveyed by the Bastrop school district, while the LCRA partnered with Texas Parks and Wildlife to match the land value with funds. The park provides sports fields, a large pavilion for family gatherings, walking trails and a butterfly discovery garden courtesy of U.S. Fish and Wildlife. The Cedar Creek Youth Sports Association also offers many family- and community-oriented sports leagues, including softball, baseball and soccer at the park.
