The cottage is located next to Rocky Hill Ranch, and it is on the route for the annual MS 150. The cottage is within biking distance to Buescher State Park, and it is within a few minutes drive to the Colorado River for canoeing, kayaking, tubing or fishing.
The cottage is 5 miles from downtown Smithville, where the movie Hope Floats was filmed. The town boasts wonderful shops and restaurants for your leisurely walks. Texas famous barbecue is just down the street along with an authentic Mexican restaurant.
Old Town Bastrop and La Grange are within 20 minutes each direction and should not be missed. There are plenty of day trip opportunities.
