Join us for the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the court case of Delgado vs Bastrop ISD. This historic case resulted in a ruling that outlawed segregation of Latinos from Anglos in all Texas Schools. Event includes talk by a University of Houston professor, a video discussion among former students of the segregated Mexican-American school, a student reenactment of the trial, a video of Hispanic experiences since the ruling, and hear from Minerva Delgado and former Senator Gonzalo Barrientos. Event is free and lunch is provided.
