Inspired by “Antiques Roadshow,” Bastrop County residents are invited to bring a personal artifact to the Museum in downtown  Bastrop, Texas, to display and discuss in the special exhibit room. A show-and-tell, poetry reading, pop-the-hood reveal of Fire Engine No. 1, and mechanical history tour will be held in honor of Texas Independence Day on March 2.

The show-and-tell event will feature family heirlooms, favorite item with historic significance, an old artifact or memorabilia from an adventure, maps, sports team collectibles, family recipes with memories of its preparation, picture and story of an ancestor and more. Drop ins welcome or reserve a space in advance.

The event is free to the public.
