Come join Bastrop, Texas on July 1 for the inaugural Big Bang Celebration full of patriotic events downtown and at Fisherman’s Park! Event includes the Bastrop Stampede 5K and Kids Mile, a Pet and Pal Parade downtown, a cornhole tournament, Bastrop B A N G O with prize drawing, and Market Days downtown with sidewalk vendors selling handmade items. The celebration culminates in Fisherman’s Park  with music, concessions and fireworks at dusk.

SCHEDULE

• 8 a.m.: Bastrop Stampede 5K & Kids Mile Fun Run
• 8:30 a.m.: Registration for the Pet and Pal Parade, Bastrop County Courthouse lawn
• 9:15 a.m.: Judging for the Pet and Pal Parade, Bastrop County Courthouse lawn
• 10 a.m.: Bastrop Pet and Pal Parade begins. Starts at County Courthouse, heads down Main Street and ends at Bastrop Opera House.
• 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Market Days on Main Street and Downtown Bastrop B A N G O
• 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.: Cornhole Tournament
• 6 p.m.: Music and concessions at Fisherman’s Park
• Dusk: Fireworks!
