Delight your taste buds by sampling soups, stews, and chilies prepared by some of Elgin’s best chefs during the Elgin Texas Empty Bowl Project lunch. Each ticketed attendee will also take home a hand-painted ceramic soup bowl and the satisfaction that they have helped sustain food support to Elginites in need.
The Empty Bowl Project is part of a national grassroots effort to fight hunger, and proceeds go to the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry. The basic premise is simple: potters and other craftspeople, educators, and others work with the community to create handcrafted bowls. The beautiful hand-painted bowls serve as a reminder of all the empty bowls in the world.
