ENWS – Primitive Fishing for Kids 2023

February 12

February 12, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

10:00am - 3:30pm

You know what’s fun? Fishing! You know what makes fishing even more fun? Using materials from the forest around you to create your fishing gear in this youth class. Join Earth Native Wilderness School in Cedar Creek, Texas for a day of learning how to make your very own fishing kits from the land. You’ll use hand-lines made from materials that can be easily found in nature, get in plenty of casting practice, learn about freshwater fish ecology, and even have the chance to learn how to process and cook the fish we catch! Fishing is not only a survival skill but also a great way to connect to the natural world around us. Drop off course; parents do not attend.
