First Friday’s Main Event is an inclusive and dynamic downtown Bastrop event showcasing and celebrating the work of local artists, makers, and performers. Participating venues change on a monthly basis.

This months main event features:

• Art Galleries – Visit and shop in our local art galleries at the Bridges Emporium, 920 Main and R.A. Green Mercantile, 1022 Main.
• Blowing Bubbles – Summer wouldn’t be complete until you blow small or giant bubbles using wands of different sizes at the Bastrop County Museum & Visitor Center at 904 Main.
• Drum Circle – Join the circle and let the rhythm move you at R.A. Green Mercantile, 1022 Main.
• Glass Art Demonstration – Watch as an artist makes small glass art pieces using a blow torch at 922 Main.
• Graffiti Wall – Write or draw on a community graffiti wall at R.A. Green Mercantile,1022 Main.
  Live Painting – Watch as an artist completes an art piece in a public performance at 922 Main.
• Pop ups are temporary exhibits that run just for First Friday! Catch them while you can at selected locations.
