Families and community are coming together with four separate events to celebrate the 100 years of history at the Hopewell Rosenwald School in Cedar Creek, Texas. Everyone is invited to learn more about the heritage of the schools that changed the trajectory of lives.

• Friday, November 4 – Andrew Feiler will discuss his photodocumentary of the Rosenwald school’s program “A Better Life for Their Children: Julius Rosenwald, Booker T. Washington, and the 4,978 Schools That Changed America.”
• Saturday, November 5 – Historical Marker Unveiling and Groundbreaking of New Building on school grounds.
• Saturday, November 5 – Live production at Bastrop Opera House with music, dance, comedy and drama which tells the Hopewell Rosenwald story.
• Sunday, November 6 – Worship and thanksgiving service celebrating the faith and donation that brought together the community to build the Rosenwald School and Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church on the church grounds.
