Celebrate Juneteenth on Juneteenth with a candlelight ceremony and help construct a human birthday cake to light up the middle of the baseball field at Thomas Memorial Park.

The Rev. D.W. Townsend chairs the program, along with co-chairmen Bishop Mays and Charles Matthews. They remind us that “Freedom is not free!”

Help shine a light on Juneteenth via a lighted human birthday cake, and bring a lawn chair for each person. The organization challenges businesses and organizations to get involved by bringing at least 10 people. For anyone interested, please contact Gwen Johnson at (512) 569-6610.
