Learn about Fall Medicinal Plants 2020

November 29

November 29, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

10:00am - 3:00pm

Come join Earth Native Wilderness School to learn about some of the local native and naturalized plant medicines in the Central Texas area. The Native Americans and early settlers who lived in central Texas knew and utilized nearly all of the local plants in some form or fashion, many times for medicine. For beginners it is easy to get overwhelmed with the vast array of medicinal plant that surround us, therefore this class will focus on a handful of the most useful plants of the season. Included in the course is a plant walk to meet the plants covered and learn accurate identification, followed by an in-depth discussion about their many uses and the best preparations for each.

Open to adults, and age 12 and up with an adult participant.
