In downtown Smithville, Texas, join in the Mardi Gras Parade at 5 p.m., come in all your bedazzled goodness and spend the evening with Meanwhile at Silky’s. The parade begins and ends at Silky’s on Main Street. You will tour through artist Judy Paul’s Lumberyard Studio for a cocktail and photo op and then dance around to Mosaic Gallery for a spot of King Cake. Then you will return to Silky’s for the long awaited kick off of the entire expansive Jim Rittimann Art Collection. Bring your own cup and beverages.
