Mexican American Veterans of WWII presentation

Learn more about the role of Latinos and Latinas in World War II during this meeting of the Historical Society. Esther Bonilla Read is the author of “After the Blessing: Mexican American Veterans of WWII Tell Their Own Stories,” published by the TCU Press. The presentation also includes Special Guests, Texas Senator Gonzalo Barrientos, World War II Veteran Eduardo Hidrogo of Elgin, Texas, and Noe Rivas and Albert Hernandez who will sing and play guitar.

The program is made possible in part with a grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
