Join the Elgin, Texas community on Jan. 14, 2023, to dedicate the The Black Icons mural, located on the side of a downtown building and painted as part of the #ETX150 activities in Elgin, Texas. The mural recognizes and celebrate Elgin’s black icons: Harvey Westbrook, Annie Lee Jaywood, Monty Joe Thomas, Dorothy McCarther and S.H. McShan.

This is the Elgin Main Street program gift to the community with funding and support from locals.
