The popular Sherwood Forest Celtic Music Festival & Scottish Highland Games takes place in shaded retreat in McDade, Texas on the weekend after Labor Day with world-class live Celtic music, dance, performers, period foods and drink, jousting and other athletic games, archery, shops and more. Find your Celtic clan! Camping is available noon Friday through 2 p.m. Sunday.

Friday evening

• Beer, Wine and Mead along with soft drinks will be served at Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Pub, and the bands will play across the road at The Elven Hill Stage.

all day Saturday

• The lower half of the Sherwood Forest Fairegrounds will be open with The Greenwoode Thetre, The Argosy Stage, The Three Stags Pub, The Lionheart Tavern, and the Villager’s Square all hopping with live music.
• The Highland Games athletes will compete throughout the day at the Highland Games Arena where Sherwood holds Jousting during the faire.
• And Paul Goodnough of The Sherwood Archers will host a series of Archery competitions at the Archery Village where the Washing Well is during Faire.
