Join us for an artistically-inspired, festival of fun, celebrating Smithville Texas, the birds that call it home and the creative spirit of the people that live here. The event features a bird parade which anyone can join, bird costumes and prizes, live raptor show by Sky Kings Falconry, bird art sale and silent auction, bird photo contest, custom-built birdhouses, bird craft activities and flocks more fun for all! Event organizers encourage you and your family to create your best bird costume and join the parade!

Schedule:

• THE BIRD PARADE: 10 a.m. – 11:30 p.m., On Main Street from the Library to 1st St.
• COSTUME PRIZES ANNOUNCED: Noon, Gazebo, 1st St & Main Street.
• RAPTOR SHOW: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Railroad Park, 1st St & Main Street.
• BIRD ART SALE & SILENT AUCTION: 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Gallery on Main, 2nd & Main (Silent Auction bidding ends at 2:30 p.m.)
• BIRD PHOTO CONTEST: 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Gallery on Main, 2nd & Main
• BIRD CRAFT FUN: 12:30-3 p.m., The Lumberyard Studio, 223 NE 1st St.
