Sunset Lantern Walk at the Colorado River Refuge 2023

May 11

May 11, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

7:00pm - 8:30pm

Meet at the Cliffhanger Trailhead to walk the trail together. We will enjoy the sunset and reflections on the Colorado River below, listen for the owls, frogs and other nocturnal creatures that call the preserve home as they awaken, and then turn on our lanterns to light the way back with a soft glow.

This is a rare opportunity to experience the preserve and all her beauty after dark!

How to prepare: For your safety after dark, please wear closed-toes shoes and bring a solar, electric or battery powered lantern (preferred) or flashlight/headlamp and water. No live flames at the CRR.

Facilities: There are no restrooms or drinking water at the Colorado River Refuge so come prepared!

Leader: PPLT Board Member, Katie Larson, [email protected]

Location: Colorado River Refuge in Bastrop at the Cliffhanger Trailhead – 139 W Riverside Dr., Bastrop, TX, 78602

Next steps: Please register.
