Keep Smithville Beautiful, committee of the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce, presents the Smithville “Sustainable Home and Garden Show” on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Railroad Park Pavilion at Main Street and First Street in the Smithville Texas Historic District. The theme of this year’s event is homesteading!

Join us in learning how to be more self-sufficient and sustainable including: Growing vegetables, preserving food, recycling/composting, and understanding our wildlife and ecosystems. Local homesteaders, businesses, and organizations will be sharing their knowledge and resources such as:

• How-to demonstrations and Q&A
• A homesteading-themed swap and supplies to help you get started
• Sustainable products/services for sale including mini farmer’s market
• Activity for kids

Free to attend, fun for all ages, and in collaboration with the Community-Wide Garage Sale on the same day!

Registration is not required to attend, but to sponsor or have a table, contact the Chamber office.
