In the southern part of the Tahitian Village area of Bastrop, Texas, the 24-acre wooded Bastrop County Nature Park resides along the Colorado River with two entrances with river access.
The West entrance is an official take-out point on the Colorado River for the Texas Paddling Trail system, providing free river access. Swimming is allowed with a beach area for relaxing. Visitors can also enjoy use of the barbecue pits and its wooded picnic area. The 7.5 miles of the Lost Pines Nature Trails (rated Moderate for walking) threading through the park and the Colorado River Refuge next to it, are also great for hiking and birding. Admission is free to both areas.
The East entrance holds the concrete boat ramp is to the east of this park on Riverside Drive, free to use.
